Levee STEM Project - Third Nine Weeks
Fifth Grade students have been working on levee projects in STEM this nine weeks. Students watched video footage of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and learned about the failing levee system in New Orleans. Students were tasked with creating a levee and city out of STEM materials inside of a container. Will their levees hold back the rising waters of the hurricane?
